India’s leading Science-based Ayurveda major Dabur India Ltd is taking a leap on the path of Environment Sustainability by removing the outer paper cartons from its flagship ayurvedic toothpaste brand Dabur Red. =”https://www.dabur.com/amp/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Dabur has been driving several environment sustainability initiatives to preserve our planet for future generations. These include promoting biodiversity, collecting, processing and recycling post-consumer plastic waste, besides reducing use of paper in product packaging.
In June this year they launched their innovative carton-free eco-friendly packaging rolled out in key Modern Trade outlets in a joint initiative with Reliance Retail.
The company is also rolling out a carton-free low unit price pack for the rural markets. The paper saved by removing the outer cartons would be repurposed to create notebooks for underserved children supported by =”https://www.cry.org/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Child Rights and You (CRY). Keeping this in mind, Dabur launched the campaign 'Give up the Carton, Give me a Future'. The notebooks will be distributed to 1,20,000 underserved children.
Mr. Harkawal Singh, Marketing Head – Oral, Dabur India Said, "We expect that these initiatives will help us to repurpose approx. 150 tons of paper and eliminating waste from our environment,"
Mr Rajeev John, Vice President Marketing – Personal Care, Dabur India mentioned that in a first of its kind step by any Toothpaste brand in the market, they were pleased to announce the launch of their carton-free packs for Dabur Red Paste with a new eco-friendly design.
“The initiative taken by Dabur is commendable and visionary. The campaign is truly dedicated to our future generation as it will go a long way in ensuring both education and environmental sustainability”, said Soha Moitra, Regional Director, Child Rights and You (CRY).
