HIPS high impact polystyrene is used in manufacturing TV housings and computer resins. They are used in Yoghurt pots, refrigerator linings, bathroom cabinets, instrument control knobs, vending cups, toilet seats and tanks, closures. Some of the properties of the scraps are rigidness, impact strength up to 7 x GPPS, hardness, translucent, etc
